ˇAdelante!
Book Study Group

2007  - 2008

The ˇAdelante! study group meets monthly to discuss books either suggested by the national organization or chosen by members of the Long Valley group.

The books are of differing presentations:  fiction, nonfiction, essay collections, etc.  They  are selected to represent and inform the readers about diversity in America.  The books focus on the challenges faced by various sectors of our society such as members of different ethnic groups, people with physical and mental challenges, different sexual orientation, etc.

The study group welcomes anyone who is interested in reading these books and entering into an open and thoughtful discussion of the ideas and lessons presented by each book.  Our hope is that this study group will lead to better citizenship through an understanding of the viewpoints of the diverse people who comprise our society.
